Manufacturers may enter extra cars at each event of the FIA World Rally Championship, but they can nominate only two cars to score points for the Manufacturers’ Title.

Marcus Grönholm (who is the current World Rally Champion) will participate in the Monte Carlo Rally with his competition number, but has not been nominated to score points for the Manufacturers’ Championship in that event. This is why his name does not appear in the Press Release published on 9 January 2001.

Gilles Panizzi, who will drive the third official Peugeot (n° 16), has been nominated to score points in the Manufacturers’ Championship at the Monte Carlo Rally, as stated in the above-mentioned Press Release.

Geneva, 12 January 2001.
